Hae terebrae cuspidem specialiter designatam habent quae perforationem celeriorem et efficaciorem quam alia genera terebrarum permittit. Designatio cuspis transversalis terebrarum SDS plura commoda habet.

Primo, maiorem praecisionem praebet cum foramen incipitur. Cuspis sui ipsius centratur et adiuvat ne cuspis vagatur, quod utile esse potest praesertim cum in materias duras terebras. Hoc tempus et laborem servare potest, necessitate repositionis et realineationis minuendo.

Secundo, designatio cuspis transversalis adiuvat ad vibrationem et strepitum minuendam dum perforatur.
